Welcome to High Point Farm

High Point Farm, owned and operated by Greg and Cindy Thaxton, has served the Athens-area equestrian community since 1993. Our facility offers complete boarding: full, partial or pasture board; individual or herd turnout; and onsite farrier and veterinary services.

In addition to boarding, High Point Farm is a training facility for dressage, hunter/jumpers, and equitation. Our experienced trainers conduct individual and group lessons, for beginner to advanced riders. Full training programs are also offered.

Since our trainers and their students maintain active show schedules, High Point Farm posts a current list of area dressage shows [USDF, USEF, GDCTA-rated] and rated Hunter-Jumper shows. Prize lists and entry forms are readily available online, as are the results of past shows, clinics and events.

Selected dressage horses and hunter/jumpers may also be purchased through High Point Farm. In 1996, we were selected as the best venue to host the U.S. Dressage Team for the Olympics in Atlanta. Today, our facility remains the perfect venue for summer riding programs, birthday parties, and other special occasions for young riders.
